The Charleston is located on the second floor of the historic Williams Building in the heart of downtown Fullerton, California. The venue resides across from the Fullerton Train Station. Built in 1927, this venue has the special charm and elegance of days gone by. The grand, art deco-style ballroom features high ceilings and wooden accents that create a vintage feel perfect for your wedding.

Services Offered

The Charleston offers inclusive packages to make planning your big day simple. Our packages include separate ceremony and reception spaces, catering by Chef JonPaul, tables, chairs, linens, flatware, glassware, flowers, table centerpieces, wedding arch, bride bouquet, groom boutonniere, DJ, and photo booth. Venue staff offer friendly and helpful day-of wedding coordination services to couples to assist them in hosting a stress-free wedding ceremony and reception at The Charleston.

Facilities and Capacity

The venue’s grand ballroom seats up to 200 guests and features beautiful wood on the floors and wood trim along the walls, stage, and ceiling. The stage is a great place if the wedding reception will feature a band. It can also be used for a sweetheart table to show-case the happy couple.

Arched windows are set high into the walls that stretch up to the 22-foot ceiling. Wall sconces and chandeliers light the room with a romantic glow once the sun goes down. The ceremony room is located on the third floor, and is relatively simple so it can be decorated to capture the look, feel, and vision of your perfect ceremony. This space features hardwood floors and lighting overhead.

The foyer and cocktail hour area boasts two bars that are perfect space for your guests to mingle before entering the Grand Ballroom for your dinner reception. Your grand entrance into the ballroom will be a spectacular experience with beautiful LED colored lighting to match your wedding decor and a built in DJ sound system that is guaranteed to get the party started!

Your venue rental fee includes:

Use of the Petite Ballroom for ceremony, Jitterbug Bar for cocktail hour, and Grand Ballroom for reception.

Your Ceremony Includes:

Ceremony chairs (includes set-up and breakdown) and Champagne Parlor for bridal party to use as “getting ready room” prior to ceremony. Rehearsals available based on venue availability and by appointment only

Your cocktail reception includes:

Access to Foxtrot Lounge and Jitterbug Bar for guests to mingle within the two spaces, cocktail tables, and various seating options.

Your reception includes:

60” round tables for dinner reception, cake table, sweetheart table, elegant chairs, and a Venue Coordinator to act as liaison between the bridal party and their vendors on event day.

In-house catering and bar packages are available at an additional cost.

Wedding Coordinator - $1,500

Your Wedding Coordinator is separate from your Charleston Event Liaison and provides these wedding-specific services:

*Organizes and coordinates your ceremony rehearsal

*Creates the timeline for you wedding day and provides it all to vendors

*Confirms all vendor arrival times for set-up as well as tear-down

*Acts as the liaison between your vendors and The Charleston both before and the day of your wedding

*Acts as the primary contact for all non-venue-related matters for the bride and groom, bridal party, and all others in the wedding

*Sets up decor, table numbers, programs, escort cards, favors, etc. on your wedding day

*Collects and stores everything that must be removed after the event (gifts, decor, bridal suite items, etc.), and makes arrangements to have them delivered to you at a specified time and location

Forest House prices are all inclusive, tax and service fees included! We NEVER charge gratuity, we feel it is a gift. We, of course accept gratuity...but will never charge you.

Is there a charge if you use someone not on their Vendor List? Or, can you use another person off the list.

Event Spaces

Petite Ballroom

The Petite Ballroom is 2100 square feet and located on the third floor. It features beautiful tin ceilings and 100-year-old chandeliers original to the building. Its windows overlook the treetops and the Fullerton skyline. There is an elevated stage that can also be used as an altar. This lovely space can accommodate 150 guests in seated rows.

Preservation Room

The Preservation Room is 1100 square feet and located on the third floor. This room was once an authentic prohibition-era speakeasy, and still retains lots of its original charm. It is used as the groom’s getting ready room, and can also be rented as an after-party space for ages 21+. There is a window view into the grand ballroom, as well as a pool table.

Jitterbug Bar

The Jitterbug Bar is 900 square feet and located on the second floor. It features cocktail table seating, as well as seating at the beautiful porcelain-top bar.

Grand Ballroom

The larger of the two ballrooms, the Grand Ballroom is 3000 square feet and located on the second floor. It boasts five chandeliers, high ceilings, arched windows, and a french door entry. The perimeter of the ballroom has elevated seating for your guests. There is a stage that can be used to feature the couple’s sweetheart table or for a live band. The ballroom’s LED lights can be set to match your wedding colors for a cohesive look.

Foxtrot Lounge

The Foxtrot Lounge is 1100 square feet and located on the second floor. This space has lots of character, including a fireplace façade, a brushed bronze tin ceiling, and rustic brick throughout.

Champagne Parlor

The Champagne Parlor is 500 square feet and located on the second floor. This luxurious space is used as the Bridal Suite, and can also be used for small bridal showers or meet the maids parties. There is a full-length mirror for the bride, as well as a champagne and wine bar. The suite features large windows that let in lots of natural light and overlook the treetops, as well as beautiful satin white tin ceilings.
